Please note that anyone wishing to take part in the Pirates of Penzance will be expected to become familiar with the opera before auditions start. All those auditioning for principal roles should know the parts they are auditioning for! All participants should have their own copy of the score, preferably the Schirmer edition.

All auditions, rehearsals and performances will be held in Chapel Playhouse, Eccles Road. Chapel-en-le-frith, High Peak, Derbyshire, SK23 9RG. Click here for map.

Auditions Details:

Sunday 31st July at 2pm (registration from 1.30pm) with a sing-through in the afternoon.

Rehearsals:

Monday 1st August to Friday 5th August

Dress Rehearsal:

Friday 5th August

Performances:

Friday 5th August and Saturday 6th August (matinee and evening)

Please note the following very important information:

∗ Performers who are 18 by July 31, 2011 may register for both The Mikado and The Pirates of Penzance. Sixteen and seventeen year-old performers and those who will not be 18 until after July 31 interested in participating in The Pirates of Penzance may register for the production and will be considered as casting necessities dictate.

If you would like to take part please register as soon as you can.

For the audition, please prepare a song, preferably from The Pirates of Penzance, if not, please ensure you bring the sheet music or be prepared to sing a capella.

The cast will be announced on the audition day and rehearsals will start as soon as this has happened. Pamela makes all casting decisions on the day of audition, your registration is just to give us an idea of the numbers of people interested in being involved.
